Secondary Computer Science teacher required for school in Merton…

Tradewind seek a dynamic and inspiring teacher of Computer Science to join a successful department at an Outstanding Boys school In Merton, SW London.

Start date: ASAP / Will also consider an April Start

Salary: Inner London MPS-UPS

Contract: Temporary or Fixed Term, Full time

Subject: Computer Science KS3 - KS4

This large multicultural school in Merton is a modern, high performing Secondary school with state-of-the art facilities.

Successfully educating boys aged 11-18 in a safe and supportive environment.

This post is suitable for an ECT or a more experienced practitioner, for whom excellent support will be available.

Regular professional development courses are also available for teachers at any stage of their teaching career.

Competitive pay rates are guaranteed but will vary depending on experience.

The successful candidate must have Qualified Teacher Status and teach Computer Science to all Secondary levels.

All suitable candidates will also have the following:

  • Evidence of successful teaching Computer Science across a wide range of abilities.
  • Up to date knowledge of the curriculum and assessment procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the processes by which students can achieve highly.
  • Excellent organisational and classroom management skills
  • Ability to analyse and use data to set and monitor targets
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their potential

Personal Traits:

  • An excellent record of attendance and punctuality.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Ability to be proactive, self-starting, enthusiastic and committed.
