Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a lovely secondary school in Congleton. If you have experience in a similar role or with child-based work and possess the energy and engaging personality required to connect with secondary school students, we want to hear from you!
About the role:
- Provide classroom support to students
- Assist with managing classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers to implement effective teaching strategies
- Offer 1:1 support to students with diverse learning needs
- Provide pastoral care and support as required
- Opportunity for permanent placement based on performance
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably as a teaching assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to different learning needs and styles
- Commitment to supporting student development and well-being
- Understanding of the UK Schools curriculum
- Outgoing and enthusiastic personality
- Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to undergo one
