Position: SEN Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs.
  • Provide differentiated support to address the unique challenges of SEMH students.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student progress and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments to track student achievement and inform instructional practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent SEN teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with SEMH or challenging behaviour within a primary setting.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a compassionate approach to supporting students' social and emotional needs.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to collaboration and professional development.

To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
