Tradewind Recruitment are working with a multi form entry primary school in Saltley who are currently looking for a part time SENCO to start with them after February half term.

The school are looking for a SENCO to work 4 days a week in a non-teaching capacity. They are looking for someone who has experience as a SENCO in a school setting previously and is able to com in and hit the ground running.
Key responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Headteacher, this post holder will be accountable for
- Strategic direction and development of the SEND
- Teaching and learning for SEND to establish a clear and ambitious vision for SEND and pastoral provision, to draw up the Inclusion/SEND Development Plan consistent with the Improvement Plan.
- Ensure whole school SEND policies translate into effective inclusive practice and are fully aligned with the SEND Code of Practice.
- Represent the school at relevant meetings inside and outside of the setting, and feedback policy and practice.
Qualifications and Skills
- Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent
- Degree in related subject specialism
- SENCO Qualification or previous experience as a SENCO
- Experience of working with children of the relevant age range and their families in an educational setting or similar
- Experience of dealing effectively with complex situations involving families and young people
