We are recruiting for a Special Needs Teaching Assistants in the Bury area!

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a Special Needs Teaching Assistants with prior experience of supporting young people with Autism or Complex Needs.

Role - Special Needs Teaching Assistant at special needs high school in the Bury area.

Details - Start ASAP, ad hoc TA supply cover, perfect for people looking for part time work.

Times - Work available any day, Monday to Friday 8:45am-3:45pm.

Pay - Up to £90/day - paid PAYE via Tradewind - we don't use umbrella pay companies.

The School & Pupils:

  • Special Needs high school in the Bury area.
  • All students are aged 11-19 & have an EHCP for Autism, Learning Difficulties, Complex Needs, Physical Disabilities or Social & Emotional needs.
  • Students working at lower levels than expected for their age.
  • Class sizes of no more than 8 pupils.
  • High ratios of staff to pupils with at least 2 SEND Teaching Assistants in each group.
  • Outstanding Ofsted in all areas.
  • Inclusive, supportive & collaborative environment.
  • Excellent facilities & resources that help enable & enhance their holistic curriculum offer.
  • Easily accessible by car or bus and only 15mins walk from a tram stop.
  • Accessible from Bury, Bolton, Rochdale, Salford and north Manchester.

  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate that is on the Update Service (or be happy to pay for a new one).
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
  • Minimum of two professional references checks.

  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Some experience supporting children with special needs before.
