Teaching Assistant (Fixed Term - Full Time)

Location: Chesterfield Primary School

Start Date: Monday 2nd September 2024

Duration: Fixed Term - One Year

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant Key Stage 1 team. This is a full-time position, commencing in September 2024 and lasting for a fixed term of one year.

Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Assist with the implementation of the Read Write Inc phonics program.
• Work closely with students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis to provide tailored support.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the Key Stage 1 team.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Ideally, possess a Teaching Assistant qualification at Level 2.
• Previous experience working with Key Stage 1 students is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with phonics, particularly experience with the Read Write Inc phonics program, would be a significant advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
