Are you a Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time role within a central Nottingham Primary School?

Tradewind are delighted to be working with a central Nottingham Primary School to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil with complex and additional needs. You must have a Level 2 qualification in supporting and learning and have a minimum of 12 months classroom-based experience to apply for this role.

This a large two form Primary School located in the centre of Nottingham, most of the pupils attending school come from the surrounding area and speak English, Urdu and Punjabi. The school has a strong Christian Ethos that is promoted throughout school and across the whole National Curriculum. Staff are fully committed to ensuring pupils can access the Curriculum and achieve their full potential.

The most recent OFSTED from 2017 graded the school as 'Good' and noted how supportive of families and pupils the school and SLT are. The school aims to work as a team with the community to ensure every opportunity to succeed academically and socially is offered to the pupils.

The successful candidate will be required to work with and supervise individuals, including pupils with SEN/D on a 1:1 basis, and small groups of children, under the direction/supervision of teaching/senior staff both in and out of school hours to enrich curriculum learning. You will be required to undertake work, care or support programmes, inclusive of special/individual learning needs, to enable access to learning for all pupils. In addition, you will be expected to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

The school is located in central Nottingham, a 5-minute walk from the train and bus station and easily accessible from all the tram networks.

This is the perfect opportunity to secure a long-term role, which is likely to be advertised as permanent by February 2019.
