Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with experience of supporting English and Maths across primary key stages?
Tradewind are working with a school in the Rotherham area seeking to employ a Teaching Assistant to start as soon as lockdown ends, hopefully from 8th March 2021.
You will be working with either Key Stage 2 or Key Stage 1 students helping them prepare for assessments, which may take the form of an examination or be teacher assessed coursework, or a mixture of the two.
If working with Year 6 you will also be involved in managing the Year 6 transition in secondary school, both academically and pastorally.
If working with Key Stage 1 students you will be supporting English, Phonics and Mathematics, so confidence in these subjects is essential as is previous experience leading small group sessions. You will be working closely with the class teachers liaising regarding pupil progress and planning sessions, there may also be the expectation to undertake some marking under the guidance of the class teacher. You may also be required to deliver sessions on line for children who are shielding or still working from home.
The successful candidate will also be working with children with an EHP particularly those with ASD so prior experience of supporting SEN would be beneficial for this role. A Team Teach qualification demonstrating an understanding of how to effectively de-escalate negative behaviour would also be of benefit for this role but not essential.

Pay £69.00 - 85.00 per day
