Year 1 Teacher - Ashford

Full-time - MPS/UPS - September 2024

Tradewind Recruitment are sourcing for a dedicated Primary Teacher to teach a Y1 class on a full-time basis for a Maternity Cover, commencing from the September till the end of the academic year. This role will include planning and marking responsibilities and interviews will commence after the Easter break.

The school is a large through school within the Ashford area and educates pupils from Nursery all the way up to A-Level. It is a faith school as well, with Christian and British values being a big part of the schools ethos, with highlights acceptance and ambition. The school is graded GOOD by Ofsted as of 2018 with focus given to the strength of the school leadership. The school is easily accessible via public transport and has parking on site.

The Role

• Planning and delivering the Primary Curriculum in Year 1.
• Responsibility for ensuring your cohort is supported, and challenged appropriately with the work set.
• Managing behaviour within the classroom effectively
• Liaising with Parents/Guardians on the progress and/or potential development areas of students

Requirements

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
• Experience teaching the UK Primary Curriculum KS1, Year 1 experience would be highly desirable but not essential.
• Hold an enhanced DBS (DBS on the update service is highly desirable)
• Have right to work in the UK
