SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Autism Support
Location: Barking & Dagenham
Start Date: June 2025
Contract: Supply (part-time or full-time options available)
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
Year Groups: Nursery to Year 6
Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support a range of primary schools in Barking & Dagenham. We have both daily and long-term supply opportunities available, offering flexibility and valuable experience across different school settings and year groups.

What We're Looking For:
Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs in a school setting
Confidence working 1:1 or with small groups (phonics or SATs intervention experience is a plus)
Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to support
Solid behaviour management and communication skills
Knowledge of child development, IEPs, and EHCPs
Essential Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Right to work in the UK
A CV detailing your full employment history since leaving education
Two recent professional references (within the last two years)
Overseas police check (if applicable)
