Tradewind are recruiting! Are you an experienced Business Studies & Economics teacher ready to take the next step into leadership? Or an established Head of Department looking for a new challenge in a thriving North London school?
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking to appoint a Head of Business Studies & Economics for a valued client school in Islington. This is a full-time leadership role starting this Autumn Term, with the possibility of extension or a permanent appointment.

As Head of Business Studies & Economics, you will:
* Lead, develop, and manage the Business Studies and Economics department
* Deliver high-quality teaching across KS4 and KS5 (A-level experience essential)
* Drive curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental improvement strategies
* Inspire students through dynamic, relevant, and engaging lessons
* Monitor pupil outcomes and implement strategies to raise achievement
* Line manage departmental staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and academic excellence

To be successful in this leadership role, you will need:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
* Proven experience teaching Business Studies and/or Economics at GCSE and A-Level
* A successful track record of leading or contributing to departmental improvement
* A current Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply), and professional references
* A CV covering at least the past 10 years of employment history (where possible)
* Legal right to work in the UK
