Behaviour Mentor
Location: Tower Hamlets
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
A thriving and inclusive secondary school in the heart of Tower Hamlets, is seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join our pastoral team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people by helping them to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with behavioural, social, or emotional needs.
Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral leaders, and parents to promote positive behaviour strategies.
Act as a positive role model, building strong, supportive relationships with students.
Support the development and delivery of behaviour interventions and restorative approaches.
Monitor, track, and report on student progress, contributing to action plans and reviews.
Help create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience working with young people, ideally in a school or youth work setting.
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be patient, empathetic, and consistent in managing challenging behaviour.
Show initiative, resilience, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people.
Work well as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community.
