Behaviour Mentor
Location: Tower Hamlets
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

A thriving and inclusive secondary school in the heart of Tower Hamlets, is seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join our pastoral team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people by helping them to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with behavioural, social, or emotional needs.

  • Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral leaders, and parents to promote positive behaviour strategies.

  • Act as a positive role model, building strong, supportive relationships with students.

  • Support the development and delivery of behaviour interventions and restorative approaches.

  • Monitor, track, and report on student progress, contributing to action plans and reviews.

  • Help create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with young people, ideally in a school or youth work setting.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Be patient, empathetic, and consistent in managing challenging behaviour.

  • Show initiative, resilience, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people.

  • Work well as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community.
