A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Tower Hamlets, is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our science department. This is a key role supporting both staff and students, ensuring practical science lessons run safely, efficiently, and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science lessons and experiments.
Maintain and organise science laboratories, including the safe storage of chemicals and equipment.
Support teaching staff during practical lessons as required.
Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock control of science resources.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the science department.
Provide general administrative support to the science faculty as needed.
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience working in a laboratory, school, or similar environment.
Possess knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and regulations.
Be highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently.
Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
Be committed to supporting students and staff in achieving the best outcomes.
