Science Technician
Location: Tower Hamlets
Contract: Full-time

A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Tower Hamlets, is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our science department. This is a key role supporting both staff and students, ensuring practical science lessons run safely, efficiently, and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science lessons and experiments.

  • Maintain and organise science laboratories, including the safe storage of chemicals and equipment.

  • Support teaching staff during practical lessons as required.

  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock control of science resources.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the science department.

  • Provide general administrative support to the science faculty as needed.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working in a laboratory, school, or similar environment.

  • Possess knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and regulations.

  • Be highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently.

  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Be committed to supporting students and staff in achieving the best outcomes.
