Economy Specialist Teaching Assistant
Location: Secondary School, Tower Hamlets
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Economy Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This is an exciting opportunity to support students in their Economics classes and play a key role in helping them prepare for exams.
The successful candidate will work closely with subject teachers to provide academic support, build students' confidence, and ensure they are well-prepared to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students in Economics lessons, both in class and in small-group settings.
Provide targeted help with subject knowledge, revision, and exam preparation.
Assist teachers with learning resources and classroom activities.
Encourage students to develop independent study skills and a positive attitude to learning.
Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to staff and students.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have a background in Economics (degree or strong subject knowledge).
Be passionate about supporting young people in their academic journey.
Be confident in supporting students up to GCSE and A-Level.
Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
Be proactive, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
