Behaviour Support Assistant - North Lincolnshire

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for Behaviour Support Assistants to join specialist Alternative Provisions and Pupil Referral Units across North Lincolnshire.
These schools provide vital education and emotional support to pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. We're seeking resilient, compassionate individuals who can build trust, manage challenging behaviour, and help students achieve their potential both academically and personally.
We currently have long-term, full-time positions available to start immediately, with excellent opportunities for progression and permanent employment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting students with complex SEMH needs through structured behaviour interventions and tailored learning activities
Leading one-to-one and small group sessions to help pupils develop coping strategies, confidence, and emotional awareness
Responding effectively to challenging situations using de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches
Assisting with the delivery of personalised behaviour plans and academic support strategies
Building strong, positive relationships to motivate students and encourage engagement in learning
Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals to provide consistent, joined-up support
Keeping accurate behaviour and progress records to monitor outcomes and adjust support where needed
What We're Looking For:
Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs (education, care, or youth settings)
Knowledge of positive behaviour management and restorative approaches
A calm, empathetic approach with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Full employment history and right to work in the UK
