Tradewind Recruitment are working with a supportive mainstream secondary school in Lewisham who are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Science Technician to join their team immediately. This is a full-time, long-term role-an excellent opportunity to play a key part in supporting engaging and hands-on science learning for students across all year groups.
As a Science Technician, you'll be responsible for:
Preparing and organising materials and equipment for practical science lessons
Supporting teachers and students during experiments and demonstrations
Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-equipped laboratory environment
Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures
While prior experience as a Science Technician is preferred, applications are also welcomed from individuals with a strong scientific background-such as science graduates or lab assistants-who are eager to gain school-based experience.
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A proactive, practical approach with a genuine interest in science and education
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
