About the Role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support learning in a secondary school in Northamptonshire. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about helping students achieve their potential and enjoy working in a dynamic classroom environment.

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering lessons, assist students with learning tasks, and help create an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support classroom teachers in delivering lessons and managing learning activities.

  • Assist students with their learning, including one-to-one or small group support.

  • Encourage positive behaviour and support students' social and emotional development.

  • Prepare classroom resources and assist with practical activities.

  • Help monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers.

  • Follow school policies, including safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour management.

Requirements

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.

  • Experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Tradewind Recruitment).

  • Flexible and reliable with the ability to work across different classes and subjects.
