Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for compassionate and proactive SEN Support Workers to support students with autism and complex needs in a specialist unit or mainstream school setting. You will provide one-to-one or small group support to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in the classroom and during activities.

  • Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and behaviour plans.

  • Assist teachers in preparing resources and adapting lessons.

  • Encourage independence and life skills development.

  • Maintain records of student achievements and progress.

Person Specification:

  • Experience working with children with SEND/autism.

  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance from teachers.

  • Confidence using basic IT for record keeping.
