About the Role:
We are looking for compassionate and proactive SEN Support Workers to support students with autism and complex needs in a specialist unit or mainstream school setting. You will provide one-to-one or small group support to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students in the classroom and during activities.
Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and behaviour plans.
Assist teachers in preparing resources and adapting lessons.
Encourage independence and life skills development.
Maintain records of student achievements and progress.
Person Specification:
Experience working with children with SEND/autism.
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance from teachers.
Confidence using basic IT for record keeping.
