SANZA Teaching Agency are working with a wonderful independent special school in Barking & Dagenham that provides tailored education and therapeutic support for primary and secondary aged students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

They are seeking a calm, nurturing behaviour mentor to join their school.

They are ideally seeking someone with previous experience in an SEMH/PRU setting, although candidates with behaviour mentor experience in mainstream school settings will be considered.

• A specialist provision for students with an Educational Health Care Plan where the primary needs are Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH)
• The school takes a restorative approach to conflict resolution
• Aim to empower students and increase confidence and well being through communication, collaboration and trust

As a behaviour mentor, you will:

• Support students and create a safe, inclusive environment
• Collaborate with students and enable them to be part of their journey and development
• Help students build confidence and self-esteem
• Be a trusted, empathetic mentor with the ability to assert firm boundaries and routine
