Salary: £90 - £120 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant in this specialist provision, you will:
Support pupils aged 4-11 with a range of complex learning and physical needs
Provide 1:1 and small group support to encourage engagement and progress
Assist with sensory-based and therapeutic activities tailored to each child's individual plan
Support pupils with personal care (feeding, toileting, mobility) where required
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver a holistic and inclusive learning experience
Promote communication, independence, and confidence using visual, sensory, and physical aids
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Experience supporting children or young people with SLD, PMLD, or complex medical needs (in school, residential, or care settings)
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to meeting pupils' needs
The ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
A good understanding of communication and sensory support techniques
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Additional training in Manual Handling, Makaton, PECS, or Team Teach would be an advantage but is not essential.
