Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School - Southwark
Start: Immediate | Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term | Pay: Competitive (via PAYE)

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Southwark. This full-time, long-term position is available for an immediate start and will continue through to the end of the academic year.

In this rewarding role, you will provide targeted support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)-both in the classroom and through small-group interventions. Working closely with teachers and the SEN department, you'll help adapt lessons, implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and ensure every student feels supported and included in their learning.

We're looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based or similar)

  • Knowledge or experience supporting students with SEND

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Excellent communication skills and a calm, proactive approach
