Teaching Assistant (SEND) with BSL Qualification

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant with British Sign Language (BSL) qualification to work in our inclusive partner schools across Northampton.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with hearing impairments and additional learning needs.

The role:

  • Provide classroom and one-to-one support to pupils who use BSL.

  • Assist the teacher in adapting lessons and resources for accessibility.

  • Support students' communication, confidence, and independence.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external specialists.

Requirements:

  • BSL Level 2 (minimum), ideally Level 3 or above.

  • Experience supporting children with SEND needs.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
