We are working with multiple vibrant and inclusive secondary schools across Daventry, each seeking to welcome a dedicated Music Teacher to their departments from ASAP or January 2026. These are full-time positions, available on either a long-term or permanent basis, offering you the flexibility to find the right fit for your career.
What You'll Be Doing:
Deliver engaging, well-structured Music lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with KS5 opportunities in some schools)
Teach a broad and creative curriculum including performance, composition, and listening skills
Integrate music technology and software to enhance learning and creativity in the classroom
Inspire students to take part in ensembles, choirs, school productions, and extra-curricular music clubs
Support students with coursework and exam preparation for GCSE and/or A-Level Music
Contribute to the development of the Music curriculum and support whole-school events and performances
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages confidence and creativity
Who We're Looking For:
A qualified teacher (QTS or QTLS) with strong subject knowledge in Music
Confident in delivering a range of musical genres, theory, and instrumental work
Skilled in using music technology such as Sibelius, Logic Pro, GarageBand, or similar
Enthusiastic about engaging students through practical, creative, and performance-based teaching
Strong classroom management and a genuine passion for inspiring young musicians
Open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced practitioners
