Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Daventry

Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire
Contract Type: Full-time / Long-term / Temporary-to-Permanent

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join one of our fantastic partner schools in Daventry. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.

As an LSA, you'll work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or those who require extra assistance in the classroom. Your role will be vital in promoting inclusion, boosting confidence, and ensuring every learner has access to the tools they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with varying abilities.

  • Assist with differentiated teaching and learning activities across subjects.

  • Support pupils with additional needs, including those with EHCPs, emotional or behavioural challenges, or learning difficulties.

  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Monitor and record student progress, communicating effectively with staff and parents.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting students in an educational or SEN setting (school or college).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A caring, patient, and proactive attitude.

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • A Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
