Pastoral Support Worker - Secondary School - Camden - ASAP Start

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Camden seeking a dedicated and empathetic Pastoral Support Worker to join their team ASAP. This is a full-time, long-term position (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm), ideal for graduates or experienced support staff looking to make a meaningful impact in education.
Pastoral Support Worker - Role Overview
Provide emotional, social, and behavioural support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Work closely with the Pastoral Team, SENCO, and Safeguarding Lead to support students with additional needs or wellbeing concerns.
Offer one-to-one mentoring to help students build confidence, resilience, and positive relationships.
Support with attendance, punctuality, and behaviour monitoring.
Help manage challenging situations using restorative and trauma-informed approaches.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing school culture.
Requirements
A recent graduate (Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, or related discipline) or experience working with young people in an educational, youth, or social care setting.
A calm, patient, and understanding approach.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Resilient, adaptable, and able to remain professional under pressure.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
