Job Description
Launch Your Career in Blackpool Secondary Education!
Are you a confident and proactive individual-perhaps a recent graduate, skilled professional, or unqualified teacher-looking for a high-impact role in a local Blackpool secondary school?
We are seeking an enthusiastic Education Instructor to join our dedicated team and play a crucial role in maintaining high-quality education across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Ages 11-16). This role is ideal for building essential classroom experience and can be a stepping stone towards full Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
If you have exceptional communication skills, strong behaviour management, and a genuine passion for supporting young people in a mainstream setting, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities & Opportunity
Classroom Management: Deliver pre-planned lessons (e.g., as a Cover Supervisor) across a range of subjects in the absence of the regular teacher.
Student Support: Proactively support the learning of students aged 11-16 to ensure engagement and continued progress through individual and small-group interventions.
Positive Learning Environment: Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful classroom atmosphere, effectively implementing the school's behaviour policy.
Path to QTS: Gain invaluable, paid, full-time classroom experience, which is an ideal preparation for further teacher training (e.g., PGCE or School Direct).
Blackpool Community: Work in a supportive local secondary school, contributing directly to the educational outcomes of young people in the Blackpool area.
