We are seeking an enthusiastic Education Instructor to join our dedicated team and play a crucial role in maintaining high-quality education across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Ages 11-16). This role is ideal for building essential classroom experience and can be a stepping stone towards full Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Key Responsibilities & Opportunity

  • Classroom Management: Deliver pre-planned lessons (e.g., as a Cover Supervisor) across a range of subjects in the absence of the regular teacher.

  • Student Support: Proactively support the learning of students aged 11-16 to ensure engagement and continued progress through individual and small-group interventions.

  • Positive Learning Environment: Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful classroom atmosphere, effectively implementing the school's behaviour policy.

  • Path to QTS: Gain invaluable, paid, full-time classroom experience, which is an ideal preparation for further teacher training (e.g., PGCE or School Direct).

  • Blackpool Community: Work in a supportive local secondary school, contributing directly to the educational outcomes of young people in the Blackpool area.

What We Are Looking For

ExperienceProven experience working with children or young people, ideally within the 11-16 age range (youth work, tutoring, sports coaching, or similar).
QualificationsQTS is NOT required. A degree (in any subject) or relevant Level 3 qualification is highly desirable, but confidence and capability are key.
SkillsExceptional verbal communication, strong organisational skills, and a confident, proactive presence in the classroom.
CommitmentA professional, positive attitude and a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
