Job Description
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking dedicated and adaptable Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join our team, providing specialist, ad-hoc support across multiple primary schools within the Blackpool and Fylde Coast. This is an exceptional opportunity, especially if you possess a Level 3 qualification or are working towards one. We even partner with two local colleges to support an Apprenticeship entry option for suitable candidates.
In this crucial role, you will support students with an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). Your daily tasks will include assisting with emotional regulation, mental health, and delivering targeted interventions to help students thrive both academically and personally. We are looking for passionate individuals committed to building positive relationships and possessing the skills to support children with a wide range of special educational needs (SEN). If you are keen to develop your expertise and have experience working with diverse student populations, we strongly encourage you to apply.
This position offers a unique chance to gain broad experience by working in different school environments. While you may be based in one school for an extended period, you will have the flexibility to work across various primary and secondary settings, significantly expanding your professional network and expertise across local areas like Blackpool, Bispham, Thornton, and Fleetwood. Tradewind also provides a clear pathway for career progression, making this an excellent way to gain experience and open up opportunities for further roles, including potential teacher training within our network of schools.
This is a temporary, term-time contract. The pay is competitive, ranging from £13.68 to £14.68 per hour, paid Monday to Friday. School hours are typically 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, and we are seeking candidates who can work 3-5 days weekly.
When you join Tradewind, you benefit from our commitment to your success: your income matters, as we always aim for the highest pay rate; your development matters, with free access to over 2,500 CPD courses and resources via the incredible National College; and your wellbeing matters, as we are proudly a Sunday Times Top 100 employer for four years running and protect you under Agency Worker Regulation.
