An inspiring and nurturing 2-form entry primary school in the heart of Hulme, Manchester is seeking a passionate and creative Reception Teacher to join their dedicated Early Years team from January 2026. This is a full-time position running until July 2026, with an exciting opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Reception class, guiding children through their first formal year of school and laying the foundations for a lifelong love of learning. The role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring that all children make excellent progress both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Foster a warm, nurturing classroom environment that supports emotional, social, and cognitive development.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress, using this information to inform planning and next steps.
  • Work closely with the parallel Reception teacher and support staff to ensure consistency and excellence across the year group.
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with parents and carers, maintaining regular communication about pupil progress.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold its values and ethos.
