SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School, Lambeth

Start date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, long-term (potential to go permanent)

Pay: Negotiable, £95+ daily. PAYE.

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a thriving and inclusive Primary School in Lambeth who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

The school caters for a diverse community of pupils, including many with additional needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The successful candidate will join a skilled and supportive SEND team, providing one-to-one and small group support to help children access learning and achieve their potential.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting pupils with special educational needs - particularly autism - who is looking to further develop their skills in a well-resourced, caring environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Experience supporting children with SEND, ideally within a primary school setting
A good understanding of autism and effective strategies to support pupils
A patient, reliable and proactive approach to working with children
Confidence in setting clear boundaries and promoting positive behaviour
A genuine passion for helping children thrive

Experience with Makaton, PECS or British Sign Language (BSL) is highly desirable. Team Teach training would be an advantage but is not essential.
