Full-Time Teaching Assistant - Secondary Schools

Location - Merton

Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential? We're looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a network of inclusive and supportive secondary schools across Merton.

This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday), offering an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives while developing your own career in education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in the classroom across a range of subjects

  • Work with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and personalised learning support

  • Assist with students' social, emotional, and academic development

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with additional learning needs

  • Help maintain a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment

What We're Looking For:

  • A genuine passion for working with young people

  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills

  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

  • Previous experience in a school or youth setting (preferred but not essential)

  • A proactive and positive attitude towards learning and development
