We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join a friendly and dynamic secondary school in Newham on a long-term temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with students, helping them build confidence, improve behaviour, and fully engage in their learning.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting students one-to-one or in small groups to overcome behavioural challenges.
Building strong, trusting relationships with young people to encourage positive choices.
Working alongside teachers and pastoral staff to implement consistent behaviour strategies.
Monitoring and tracking progress, reporting on outcomes, and contributing to behaviour plans.
Engaging with families and external agencies when needed to provide holistic support.
What we're looking for:
Experience working with young people in a school, youth centre, or similar setting.
Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
Calm, patient, and resilient - able to handle challenging behaviour positively.
A proactive, solution-focused approach and a genuine desire to make a difference.
