Long term = £95+ daily PAYE - reviewed after 12 weeks
Tradewind is supporting a well-regarded primary school in Merton to appoint a confident, resilient and dependable Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant. This full-time role begins immediately and offers the opportunity to work with pupils who need calm, structured and thoughtful guidance to help them succeed both in and out of the classroom.
The school has a strong pastoral ethos and a steady, supportive staff team. Leaders place great importance on early intervention, consistency and positive relationships. They are now seeking a Behaviour Mentor who can model high expectations, build trust, and provide clear strategies to help pupils remain focused and engaged in their learning.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting pupils who require additional behavioural guidance
* Reinforcing routines, boundaries and expectations with clarity and consistency
* Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff
* Delivering targeted interventions to help pupils manage emotions and develop self-regulation
* Promoting a calm, purposeful atmosphere in the classroom and around the school
To be considered, you must:
* Have experience supporting pupils with behavioural or social-emotional needs
* Demonstrate strong communication skills and a composed, confident manner
* Provide a full CV with complete employment history
* Hold, or be prepared to obtain, an Enhanced DBS
* Have the legal right to work in the UK
