Teaching Assistant (SEND) - Primary School, Oldham

Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a Primary School in Oldham to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting difference in a nurturing, inclusive school environment.

About the Role

  • Position: SEND Teaching Assistant

  • Location: Primary School in Oldham

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Contract: Full-time, long-term

In this role, you will support children with SEND both in the classroom and through tailored intervention sessions. You'll play a key part in helping pupils progress academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supportive, individualised assistance to SEND pupils.

  • Deliver targeted intervention activities as outlined in student learning plans.

  • Work collaboratively with class teachers and wider school staff.

  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours.

About You

  • Qualifications: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).

  • Experience: Previous experience working with SEND pupils in a Primary School setting.

  • Personal Qualities: Patient, empathetic, proactive, and committed to creating an inclusive learning environment.
