Exciting Year 6 Maternity Cover Opportunity - Drive SATs Success!

Are you an experienced, results-driven Year 6 Specialist ready to make a significant impact within a truly inclusive school community? We are seeking a dedicated and talented teacher for a maternity cover post starting in January 2026.

The Role:

This is a full-time teaching commitment within our key stage 2 team, covering a Year 6 class from January to July 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full Teaching Cycle: You will be responsible for all aspects of class teaching, including planning, high-quality lesson delivery, marking, and writing end-of-year reports.

  • SATs Attainment: A key focus will be supporting and securing high attainment in the Key Stage 2 SATs.

  • Intervention and Gap-Plugging: You will be required to swiftly identify knowledge gaps and create impactful intervention content to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

  • Assessment: Confidently carry out both formative and summative assessments.

The Ideal Candidate:

We require a teacher with proven, recent Year 6 experience who can hit the ground running. You must demonstrate:

  • A strong track record of producing measurable results in Year 6.

  • Excellent knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly in English and Maths.

  • The ability to create a positive, focused, and challenging learning environment that aligns with our inclusive values.

Important Dates and Details:

  • Handover Period: We require a dedicated, paid handover period in December 2025 ahead of the Christmas break to ensure a smooth transition.

  • Duration: January 2026 - July 2026 (Maternity Cover).

  • Contract: Term-Time Only.

  • Pay: £168.80 per day.
