This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering confidence, creativity, and strong literacy skills.

About the Role

As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that motivate students and encourage a love of reading, writing, and communication. You will be responsible for planning, marking, and assessing work, as well as contributing to the wider English department and school community.

This role is ideal for someone who is:

  • Passionate about English language and literature

  • Confident in delivering high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Skilled in behaviour management with a positive, consistent approach

  • Able to build strong rapport with students

  • Creative, organised, and reflective in their teaching practice

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the curriculum

  • Assess, track, and report on student progress

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Support students with reading, writing, and analytical skills

  • Participate in departmental meetings, CPD, and wider school activities

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
