Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant - Year 4 (1:1 Support)

We are recruiting for a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 4 pupil who displays extremely challenging behaviour. This role provides a valuable opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child's education, offering essential support to promote their progress and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consistent 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with significant behavioural needs
Implement effective strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour
Assist staff in developing and delivering an individualised support plan
Support the pupil's academic engagement where needed
Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Record and report on behaviour, progress, and interventions
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience working with SEND or pupils displaying challenging behaviour
Team-Teach trained (or willingness to undertake the training)
Calm, patient, and proactive approach to behaviour management
Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
Commitment to supporting the pupil's emotional and academic development
Flexible, adaptable, and able to respond to change calmly and effectively
