SEN Teacher - Secondary Autism Provision

Tradewind Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a highly regarded specialist school in Corby who are seeking an exceptional SEN Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a nurturing, well-resourced environment that supports children and young people with Autism (ASD), physical disabilities, medical needs and complex learning profiles.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a small secondary-aged class of 10 students, all of whom present with complex autism, including communication difficulties, sensory needs and significant barriers to learning. You will be supported by five experienced Teaching Assistants, allowing you to deliver highly individualised, structured and engaging learning tailored to each student's strengths and needs.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Has experience working with students with complex autism in specialist or high-needs settings

  • Understands autism-specific teaching approaches, sensory needs and structured routines

  • Can create differentiated, meaningful and accessible learning for a wide range of abilities

  • Builds strong, positive relationships with students, staff and families

  • Uses compassion, creativity and consistency to support engagement and progress

  • Works effectively with a high level of TA support and values collaborative practice

This role would suit a passionate SEN specialist, an experienced mainstream teacher with strong autism experience, or a teacher looking to deepen their expertise within a highly supportive specialist environment.
