We are delighted to be working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Kettering that is seeking a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to join their nurturing and well-supported team as soon as possible or from January 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who thrives in a child-centred environment and is committed to helping pupils with complex needs achieve their full potential.
This role is ideal for experienced SEN teachers, primary teachers looking to transition into SEN, or dedicated practitioners with a strong understanding of SEND.
What You'll Be Doing
Teaching and supporting pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and social, emotional or behavioural needs
Planning and delivering highly differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning profiles
Creating a calm, structured, and nurturing classroom environment that supports emotional and academic development
Working closely with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders to implement EHCP targets
Using creative, multisensory approaches to promote progress, independence, and confidence
Building strong relationships with families and contributing to wider school life
We're Looking For Someone Who
Holds QTS/QTLS (specialist SEN training or experience is highly desirable)
Has a passion for supporting pupils with broad and complex needs
Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a trauma-informed approach to teaching
Can adapt teaching to suit a wide range of abilities and communication styles
Works effectively with LSAs, therapists, and external professionals
Brings energy, creativity, and resilience to a dynamic SEN environment
