Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a Behaviour Buddy to support pupils in a Wirral primary school from January.

About the role:
You'll work with children who need extra help managing their behaviour, emotions, and engagement in class. Your role will involve building positive relationships, supporting de-escalation, and helping pupils stay on task so they can make progress.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis

  • Helping children regulate their emotions and behaviour

  • Using calm, consistent strategies to de-escalate situations

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

  • Tracking progress and feeding back to staff

  • Encouraging positive routines and engagement in lessons

Ideal candidate:

  • Experience in behaviour support, youth work, SEMH, or similar

  • Resilient, patient, and confident managing challenging situations

  • Able to build trust and maintain boundaries

  • Available full-time from January
