Are you a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a supportive secondary school environment?

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a secondary setting in Liverpool city centre to recruit a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a student on a 1:1 basis. This long-term role begins in January 2026 and will continue until the end of the academic year.

About the Role:

  • Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support
  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday
  • Based in a welcoming secondary environment in Liverpool city centre
  • Supporting a student with additional needs on a 1:1 basis
  • Working closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to provide personalised support
  • An opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a student's school experience

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people, ideally in a secondary setting
  • Is patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Graduate preferred

The Essentials:

To be successful in this Teaching Assistant role in a Liverpool city centre secondary setting, you will need:

  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
  • Two professional reference checks
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
