Are you a compassionate, patient and dedicated support professional with experience working with children with Special Educational Needs? Do you have the skills and confidence to provide both educational and personal care support to help young people thrive? If so, Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking committed Personal Care Teaching Assistants for immediate and ongoing supply opportunities within our partner schools in Corby and the surrounding areas.

This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, which may include autism, physical disabilities, developmental delays, sensory needs and complex learning difficulties. Many of the young people you will support require help with personal care routines such as toileting, mobility assistance, feeding, hygiene tasks and emotional regulation. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider school staff to ensure each child feels safe, well-cared-for and ready to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 or small-group SEN support within the classroom

  • Assisting pupils with personal care needs, ensuring dignity, respect and sensitivity

  • Helping to implement EHCP targets and individual learning plans

  • Supporting communication, social skills and emotional well-being

  • Using positive behaviour strategies to keep pupils settled and engaged

  • Liaising with teaching staff and parents as required

  • Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment at all times

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (essential)

  • Willingness and ability to provide personal care

  • Calm, caring and resilient personality

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A valid enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
