Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with primary and secondary schools across Corby, and we are looking for compassionate, adaptable and resilient individuals to join our team as classroom-based support staff.

This role is perfectly suited to those with experience in care, residential support, SEN services, youth work, or community roles who now want to make a difference within an education setting. Your existing skillset-such as empathy, de-escalation, safeguarding awareness, calm communication and a supportive approach-translates exceptionally well to the classroom.

What the role involves:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or within small groups

  • Helping students regulate behaviour, manage emotions and stay engaged

  • Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment

  • Encouraging independence, confidence and personal development

  • Contributing to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in support, care, SEN, youth work or community-based roles

  • Patience, resilience and a genuine desire to help young people

  • Confidence in managing behaviour and supporting emotional needs

  • A proactive attitude and strong communication skills

  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check
