SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary School
📍 Location: Haringey, North London
🗓 Start Date: January 2026 (long-term role, 5 days a week)
🕒 Hours: Full-time, 8:30am - 4:00pm (Term time only)
💷 Pay: £95-£100 per day (PAYE)
SANZA Teaching Agency is proud to be partnering with a warm, welcoming one-form entry primary school in the London Borough of Haringey, who are seeking a passionate and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact in a supportive, community-focused school. You will be providing 1:1 support to pupils across KS1 and KS2, helping children with a range of additional needs to achieve their full potential-academically, socially, and emotionally.

Your Key Responsibilities
As the school's SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEND across KS1 and KS2
Deliver targeted interventions tailored to each child's individual needs
Support children with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, learning delays, SEMH needs, or other additional requirements
Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum through clear, patient and creative strategies
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans
Use visual supports, scaffolding, structured routines and differentiated resources
Promote children's social, emotional and behavioural development
Encourage independence, confidence and positive learning habits
Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and progress meetings
Create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families
What We're Looking For
To be considered for this role, you must:
Have experience working with SEND pupils (in a primary, secondary, or specialist SEND school)
Be patient, empathetic and resilient
Have a strong understanding of additional needs and how to support them effectively
Be confident delivering interventions and supporting personalised learning
Be enthusiastic, proactive and able to adapt quickly
Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively
