Tradewind Recruitment - 1:1 Support Assistant Needed for Pupil with Social, Emotional & Behavioural Needs

Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a welcoming specialist setting to appoint a dedicated 1:1 Support Assistant for a pupil with complex social, emotional and behavioural needs. This is a rewarding, full-time position for someone who is patient, resilient and committed to helping young people thrive.

The pupil divides their time between a nurturing on-site support unit and the main classroom. Your role will be to guide, encourage and support them throughout the school day, helping them develop positive routines, regulate behaviour and engage in learning.

About the Role

  • Provide consistent 1:1 support to a pupil with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties

  • Encourage emotional regulation, positive behaviour and engagement in learning

  • Support the pupil both in the classroom and within the school's dedicated support unit

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff and pastoral colleagues

  • Build trust, provide stability and promote independence

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Has experience supporting children with SEMH needs or behavioural challenges

  • Is calm, nurturing and able to build strong, positive relationships

  • Can implement behaviour strategies and follow personalised support plans

  • Is resilient, patient and able to remain consistent in challenging moments

  • Wants to make a meaningful impact on a young person's progress and wellbeing
