Pay Rate: £100-£170 per day (depending on experience and responsibilities)

A secondary school in Northampton is looking to appoint a dedicated Physics Instructor to join their team from January 2026. This role offers an excellent opportunity to teach Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential exposure to A-Level Physics, in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver structured and engaging Physics lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 where applicable)
Support lesson planning and adapt materials to meet different learning needs
Explain complex scientific concepts in clear, practical, and relatable ways
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Implement behaviour management strategies consistently and confidently
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
Who We're Looking For
Graduates in Physics, Engineering, or related Science fields
Individuals with experience delivering or supporting Physics lessons (in schools, tutoring, outreach, or training settings)
Confident communicators with strong presentation and classroom management skills
Passionate educators eager to inspire curiosity and develop learners' understanding of Physics
Candidates open to exploring formal teacher training routes (PGCE, SCITT, or QTS Apprenticeships)
Applicants with an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
