Unqualified Science Teacher - Northampton
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term (with potential to become permanent)
Salary: £100-£160 per day (depending on experience and school support)

We are working with several inclusive and forward-thinking secondary schools across Northampton who are seeking enthusiastic Unqualified Science Teachers to join their teams from January 2026. This role is perfect for Science graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with strong scientific knowledge or tutoring experience who are eager to step confidently into the classroom.

Your Role:

  • Deliver engaging and structured Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

  • Support pupils in developing their understanding and enthusiasm for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

  • Create a positive, well-managed learning environment where students feel supported

  • Adapt lessons and activities to suit different abilities and learning styles

  • Work closely with qualified teachers and mentors to plan, assess, and reflect on lessons

  • Take part in ongoing training and contribute to wider school life

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree in a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or strong Science knowledge

  • Experience working with young people-tuition, mentoring, or school-based roles (preferred but not essential)

  • Confident classroom presence with strong communication skills

  • Proactive, organised, and genuinely passionate about education

  • Enthusiastic about developing teaching skills-ideal for future PGCE, SCITT, or teacher apprenticeship applicants

  • Must have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check
