Tradewind Recruitment is excited to support a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Bury, who are seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher for a January or February half-term start. Key responsibilities:
Teaching a Year 6 class with a focus on excellent progress in reading, writing and maths
Planning structured, engaging lessons that build confidence and independence
Preparing pupils effectively for KS2 assessments
Monitoring attainment and adapting planning to meet a wide range of needs
Creating a calm, purposeful learning environment
Leading small-group interventions where necessary
Developing positive relationships with colleagues, pupils and families
We are seeking a teacher who:
Holds QTS with strong experience teaching in upper KS2
Has thorough understanding of Year 6 expectations and SATs preparation
Uses assessment effectively to drive learning forward
Demonstrates strong classroom management and a supportive, consistent approach
Is reflective, proactive, and committed to high standards
Works well with a team and values open communication
