Tradewind Recruitment is excited to support a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Bury, who are seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher for a January or February half-term start. Key responsibilities:

  • Teaching a Year 6 class with a focus on excellent progress in reading, writing and maths

  • Planning structured, engaging lessons that build confidence and independence

  • Preparing pupils effectively for KS2 assessments

  • Monitoring attainment and adapting planning to meet a wide range of needs

  • Creating a calm, purposeful learning environment

  • Leading small-group interventions where necessary

  • Developing positive relationships with colleagues, pupils and families

We are seeking a teacher who:

  • Holds QTS with strong experience teaching in upper KS2

  • Has thorough understanding of Year 6 expectations and SATs preparation

  • Uses assessment effectively to drive learning forward

  • Demonstrates strong classroom management and a supportive, consistent approach

  • Is reflective, proactive, and committed to high standards

  • Works well with a team and values open communication
