About the Role

Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Wellingborough to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs who are passionate about delivering engaging English lessons and inspiring a love of literature and language.

You will be teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4, planning creative and inclusive lessons that support pupils of all abilities. The school benefits from a supportive leadership team, strong department structure, and a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students

  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider school life

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English

  • The ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
