Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher.
  • Create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
  • Implement school behaviour policies effectively and adapt quickly to different school routines.
  • Build positive relationships with students and staff, and leave a clear handover note for the returning teacher.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification is essential.
  • Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills and an adaptable, resilient approach.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Reliability, punctuality, and excellent communication skills.
