Full-Time Teaching Assistant - January 2026 Start

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a forward-thinking college in Hounslow to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting in January 2026. This position is ideal for someone passionate about supporting secondary-aged students with behavioural needs and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students within the classroom, promoting positive behaviour, and contributing to a safe and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to students with behavioural challenges
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
• Work closely with teaching staff to implement behaviour strategies
• Support students' academic progress and emotional wellbeing

Person Specification

• Experience supporting students with behavioural needs
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Patient, resilient, and proactive approach
• Passion for supporting young people to succeed

Essential Requirements

• Experience working with secondary-aged students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Degree-level qualification (Education or related subject preferred)
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Overseas police checks (if applicable)
• Professional references

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 8:30am - 4:00pm
